Mini Tap and Jazz

Activity Description

We’re excited to offer a combined tap and jazz class for our Minis! Ages 3-6

Who remembers their first pair of Tap shoes? The excitement they bring to any young dancer is unforgettable! A huge emphasis is made on making friends, memories and lifelong experiences.

Tapping their way through each week, learning rhythm through being animals in the jungle, dancing to your child’s favourite soundtracks and learning to express themselves during tap based games, we really do have a ball!

We are always so in awe of our little ones and how they attack each challenge, we are a very “can do” team and invest in each student that comes through the JA doors!

Your child will enjoy the freedom of Jazz movement, learning to turn, leap, jump, stretch and skip their way through their classes!

Full of excitement and adventure, we challenge each student each week to be the best they can be. Your child will learn to express themselves through their performance and giggle their way out of the door to greet you at the end!

We focus on learning how to move and understand our bodies. We base this session loosely on the ISTD lower grades when the students first join, which are fun and vibrant way of learning! Your child will also have a head start when they move on and learn the graded work.

Once the fundamentals have been learned, we then move onto exploring choreography and performing. These classes are fantastic for children who would like a little more confidence or children who have lots of energy to put into a hobby!
