Activity Description

The Minecraft Game Development Course introduces students to the fundamentals of game design using the familiar and creative world of Minecraft. Learners explore how games are built by creating their own custom worlds, designing challenges, and using tools like command blocks, Redstone, and simple coding to bring their ideas to life. As they build structures, program events, and develop interactive gameplay, students gain hands-on experience with problem-solving, logic, creativity, and digital storytelling. This course provides a fun and accessible pathway into real game development skills while keeping students engaged through the excitement of Minecraft.

Sessions will take place once a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes, giving students plenty of time to learn, build, and experiment at a comfortable pace. A Minecraft Education Edition subscription is included, ensuring every learner has full access to the tools, worlds, and coding features needed to get the most out of the course.
