YEARS 7-11*
Please note: This workshop is designed specifically for children who are currently in Secondary School (Year 7 and above), but as the workshop falls in the Summer Holidays, we can offer some flexibility for students who are year 6 and about to move up to year 7 at the time of booking.
This engaging drama workshop is designed for students who want to develop their theatre and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment. Guided by our experienced Drama Facilitators, students will collaborate to devise, rehearse, and perform an original performance piece over the course of three exciting days.
This year’s theme is “Main Character Energy – Claim Your Spotlight!” — exploring what it means to take centre stage, own your story, and create bold, memorable characters. Through a range of theatre games, improvisation exercises, and ensemble activities, students will develop performance skills while experimenting with character creation, movement, voice, and storytelling.
Across the three days, participants will learn key theatre-making techniques, devise original scenes, and work together to shape a final performance to share with families on the last afternoon. The workshop is designed to encourage creative thinking, build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and develop drama and improvisation skills in an energetic and inclusive atmosphere.
Through engaging drama activities, improvisation, and performance work, students will:
Build confidence in performance, communication, and self-expression.
Develop theatre skills including character creation, movement, voice, and storytelling techniques.
Collaborate as an ensemble, working together to devise and shape original scenes.
Explore the theme of “Main Character Energy” through creative performance and contemporary theatre-making.
Create and perform an original piece developed across the three-day workshop
Not only will they received guidance and help from our Facilitators but they will be given props and costumes to help create the world of their performance.
It will be a few days of building fun memories, learning new skills, and making new friends.
Due to limited spaces available, it is recommended that parents/guardians book early to avoid disappointment. Early bird and Sibling discount are available, simply email us at [email protected] for promo codes and booking information.
All children will need to bring is their willingness to get stuck in, their imagination, comfy clothing, and plenty of food and drink to keep their energy levels up.
Please note we are not a specialist SEND provision and the student should be comfortable learning in an energetic group environment. We regret that we cannot offer 121 support in group classes.
