Activity Description

Welcome to the magical world of acting! Our LAMDA Acting Introductory class is perfect for young performers aged 6 to 8 years eager to explore their creativity, boost their confidence, and step into the spotlight. This class is designed for children new to acting, providing a fun and supportive environment where they can develop foundational acting skills while preparing for their first LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) examinations.

What to Expect:

– Storytelling & Imagination: Through engaging activities and games, students will learn to use their imagination to bring stories and characters to life.
– Voice & Movement: We’ll introduce basic techniques for using voice and body language effectively on stage, helping children to express themselves with clarity and confidence.
– Character Building: Students will explore how to create and portray different characters, understanding emotions, motivations, and actions.
– Improvisation: Children will be encouraged to think on their feet with fun improvisation exercises that spark creativity and quick thinking.
– Performance Skills: We’ll work on simple scenes and short scripts, guiding students in memorisation, delivery, and stage presence.
– Exam Preparation: Students will be gently prepared for their first LAMDA exams, with plenty of practice and feedback. We aim to sit our LAMDA exams during the Spring or Summer terms.
