At Kip McGrath Hull East we focus on increasing confidence and self-esteem through our specialist tutoring.

The centre was opened by Liz Martin in 2018. Liz is a specialist Dyslexia teacher and assessor with over 20 years’ experience. The ethos of our warm and welcoming centre is to build confidence and self-esteem alongside increasing academic skills and success. Our first step is a free initial assessment. This assessment allows us to meet you and your child and gain an idea of their strengths and challenges whilst allowing you to meet our staff, see our setting and decide if we are the right option for your family. If you decide to go ahead with tuition, there is no minimum sign-up term and no ongoing commitment; you simply pay week-by-week for your child’s lessons.

We offer the option of in-centre/face-to-face tuition, online tuition or a mixture of the two to suit your individual circumstances. Our online tuition is delivered by the same staff as in the centre, via our specialist platform and utilises the same resources as in-centre tuition. We deliver individualised tuition in small group setting of approximately four students and this is our chosen method of delivery for a number of reasons. Every student has their own learning plan, and they receive one-to-one support each and every week, but they also complete some work independently (their tutor is available for support at any time). This way of working develops independence, and this contributes to improving confidence. It also allows for social interaction and many students form supportive friendships within their sessions.

We are Ofsted registered, fully insured and ensure a member of staff with first aid training is on site at all times. All staff have an enhanced DBS check and up to date safeguarding qualifications. We accept payment vis Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers which can save up to 20% of the cost of tuition.
