Saturday 16 November: Animation Stations!
Calling all future filmmakers aged 7-11!
Our costumed character, Bertha Benz, needs your help! She wants to spread the word about her amazing journey and needs budding animators to use their 2D animation skills to create a short video and tell her story to the world.
This Saturday club allows you to meet Bertha out in the Museum, before getting creative and using the Aardman Animator app to make your very own short film that can be sent home!
Saturday 14 December: A Crafty Christmas!
Have yourself a very crafty Christmas!
Join us for some festive crafting where children aged 7-11 can make their own automotive-themed decorations all inspired by interactive tours of our collection.
Create an automotive-themed Christmas card for family and friends inspired by an exclusive tour of the collection, where you’ll get up close to some of the coolest cars in the Museum.
Then put your crafting skills to the test to create a salt dough bauble in the shape of a car. Will you add a sprinkle of glitter? Or will your bauble feature feathers? Delve into our craft materials to make something totally unique for your family’s Christmas tree this year.
Finally, use the instructions to create a Christmas character from LEGO® bricks as a present to take home!
Saturday 18 January: Brick Club – Hostile Habitats!
Get stuck into a range of exciting building projects at the Brick Club this October! Use bricks to build exciting new creations to solve a variety of problems. You’ll need all your creativity and ingenuity, are you up to the challenge?
Scientists and engineers have always been challenged to explore hostile habitats and remote, dangerous places to make new discoveries and rescue those in need. To do this, they have designed satellites, rovers and robots that help them to enter and document previously inaccessible places.
Taking inspiration from our collection and using our LEGO® We.Do software, our Brick Club will build and code vehicles to explore these hostile habitats and rescue unwary scientists from danger!
