AFTER SCHOOL ART CLUB: Fridays at Blean School, Canterbury

Activity Description

The Dot Kids Method is an innovative approach to Art Education, created by Art & Mindset Educator Julie Bevan.

Children of all abilities are welcome.

All children will receive an Art Inspiration Sketch Book, art stickers & a Dot Kids badge.

Please note that we do offer After School Art Club at other schools. So if you can’t see your child’s school listed, please contact your head teacher and Dot Kids so that we can arrange for Dot Kids to come to your child’s school.

The sessions are very inclusive. We do not centre on perfection and ‘copying a masterpiece’ instead we focus on self-expression & creative freedom.

TRIAL SESSIONS AVAILABLE, for children who haven’t attended Dot Kids Workshops & Art Clubs in the past.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

* Your child will discover inspirational artists, often using them as inspiration for their own creativity.

* Your child will learn that “mistakes” are just a learning opportunity and can often be adapted into a positive outcome.

* We will support one another to encourage artistic freedom and confidence.

* Your child will experiment with various artistic techniques, eg. paint, collage, drawing, sculpture.

* Your child will develop self-expression, through creativity and discussion.

* Your child will increase their ability to engage and discuss.

All materials provided.

An apron will be provided for the session.

Your Dot Kids Tutor is fully DBS checked and holds an Enhanced Certificate.

Dot Kids are proud members of both The Institute of Children’s Activity Providers and The Children’s Activity Association.
