The Children’s Activities Association (CAA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Anne-Marie Martin as its new Chief Executive Officer.
As of April 2nd, the CAA is excited to welcome current board director Anne-Marie to the role.
Anne-Marie brings extensive experience in the children’s activities and franchising sector, alongside a strong commitment to supporting high-quality opportunities for children across the UK. In her new role, she will lead the organisation’s mission to champion best practice, raise standards, and support activity providers delivering enriching experiences for children and young people.
The Children’s Activities Association is the UK’s leading membership body dedicated to helping parents and settings find safe, high-quality activities for children while supporting providers with accreditation, training, and business support. Anne-Marie’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the organisation as it continues to expand its impact across the sector.
Anne-Marie, who has been involved with the CAA since the very beginning in 2015, will focus on strengthening the Association’s support for all activity providers – franchisors, franchisees and independents, growing membership, and continuing to advocate for the value of children’s activities in supporting physical, emotional, and social development.
Speaking about her appointment, Anne-Marie Martin said:
“I’ve loved being a part of the CAA since the start and in the recent years being a board director. I am so passionate about our sector and about bringing together even more providers to collaborate and support each other. Working with children is such an important responsibility and ensuring providers are doing sessions to the highest standards is something we should all be striving to achieve. Our self regulation can prove to customers and settings that we are an association of responsible providers all passionate about delivering sessions at the highest standards. From the arts and sports, swimming to tech, STEM to languages and tuition, we have been providing sessions for decades and have a wealth of experience, something we can evidence responsibly. I believe in this association deeply and know its members do too so by driving the CAA forward as THE trade association for the sector, we can all work together to prove how our accreditation can be the industry standard before any external forces want to bring in other regulation. Making a difference to a sector I have been involved in for over 23 years means a lot to me. It’s helped drive my own business diddi dance and this role will hopefully shape my legacy.” Anne-Marie stated.
Mike Dodd, Chairman of the CAA added:
“The board of the CAA and I are delighted that Anne-Marie is taking up this new and very important role as its CEO. Anne-Marie has been actively supportive and a driving force of the CAA vision since our inception a decade ago. Her focus in this part-time role brings experience and the energy to further lead the CAA forward in our work of ensuring providers going into settings and schools are compliant, which importantly includes that safeguarding is in place, and to support each other as the voice of the sector, we are stronger together”.
