Jigsaw’s January term is always extremely popular with lots of children taking to the stage across London, the Home Counties and
beyond!
Our dance, singing and drama classes are an excellent way to build confidence and self-esteem in children aged 3 – 18. Parents are invited to termly shows and presentations which are directed by our inspirational team of experienced teachers.
Jigsaw was established in 1995 with a desire to pass on the joy of performing arts. The belief in the benefits of performing arts activities for children was the driving force in the creation of Jigsaw and the reason why Jigsaw has continued to grow and become a well established and high-quality provider of children’s classes.
Every student can benefit, in some way, from the performing arts. While some join us to build a firm foundation for a professional performance career, others do so to unlock their hidden talents, overcome their shyness or increase their confidence and social skills. However, what all students enjoy is having fun through drama, singing and dance classes, while making lots of new friends.
Tumble Tots is now in it’s 40th year, proving that our programme stands the test of time and that physical activity will always play an essential part in a child’s development.
The programme consists of different classes tailored to suit the age and stage of a child’s development with equipment to reflect this. Our equipment is specially designed to not only be bright, colourful and fun, but to challenge a child’s fundamental physical abilities of agility, balance and climbing. Hand held items are also used in classes to aid with hand, eye and foot co-ordination.
As well as physical skills, children develop their social and cognitive skills through the classes. Action rhymes and body identification songs during circle time enhance their listening, language and memory skills whilst interacting with other children improve their social skills.
Trained staff in the classes help to bring the best out in every child and attending weekly and progressive sessions not only contributes to a child’s recommended daily activity requirements, but also introduces them to structure, preparing them for school.
One of the main benefits, according to our parents, is how much they see their children grow in confidence from interacting with other children and taking on new challenges which they can apply to life outside of the classes.
There are so many benefits of coming to Tumble Tots and every child takes away something different from their experience. Why not come along and see what ‘Skills for Life’ your child can learn?
The Rugbytots motto is simple: “make it more fun”. This is done by delivering a specifically designed programme for each age group with energy, enthusiasm and excitement. This creates an atmosphere in the class that is totally unique and engaging for parents and children alike.
2 to 3½ years
This class gives parents the opportunity to spend quality time with their child whilst they learn new skills, meet new friends and have an exciting introduction to Rugby.
Your child will learn about shapes, colours, numbers and counting, and they will be encouraged to work independently as well as enjoying team games. Rugby specific skills are gently introduced and all the equipment used in these classes has been specifically designed and selected for toddlers, including using sponge foam balls.
It’s colourful, lively and it’s guaranteed to brighten up their day!
3½ to 5 years
Cheering and encouragement are essential in these classes, as children will be part of a dynamic session that will develop their social and physical skills in a positive environment.
With slightly more focus on Rugby specific skills, the Rugbytots discover a new world of sporting imagination. Finding space, looking after the ball, scoring try’s, running with the ball in two hands and general agility and balance are just some of the skills that are developed.
5 to 7 years
The older age group classes really start to prepare children for life after Rugbytots, with sessions including advanced team games, whilst ensuring that the basic skills of rugby are coached in the right way by maintaining smaller class numbers.
The focus is on fun and encouragement whilst enhancing self-esteem and confidence, and preparing the children for their next Rugby adventure.
