Sprung Youth Masterclass – Storytelling

Activity Description

Rachel will be leading our Storytelling Masterclass for ages 6-10years (school years 2-5), combining her talents of dance, playfulness and physical storytelling in an adventurous and engaging way. This workshop will invite young people into a world of play and imagination through dynamic movement and creative thinking.

Rachel is a freelance dance artist from Scotland and trained at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School for her Postgraduate, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for her BA (HONS) degree and prior to this at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and National Youth Dance Company of Scotland.

This will be on Saturday 31st January 2026
10am-12pm.

More about Rachel:

Since being freelance Rachel has performed for Highly Sprung, English National Opera, Garsington Opera, Peut-Etre Theatre and Levantes Dance Theatre among others. Commercially she has been in music videos for Dua Lipa, Hilang Child, Private Agenda and collaborated with artists Latifah A Stranack and Amber Kim. In 2019 she co-founded Dance theatre company Sliding Doors Collective and have shown their work at Edinburgh Fringe, Citymoves and many more festivals.
As a teacher Rachel has taught throughout Scotland, England, Copenhagen and China, independently as well as representing performance companies as a contemporary dance teacher.
