HERE’S WHAT WE’LL BE COVERING…
05/11 – I’m a game designer!
The children learn to create characters using pixel art. They learn hoe to animate their characters and art bocks and include these into their game. They learn how to create narrative for their games and how to look at the game from the users perspective by creating fun challenge!
12/11 – I’m a coder!
In this session we introduce the children to block based coding. Younger learners will be able to code Lego and Edison robots using a simplified language based off scratch JNR, while older learners will be able to use blocks similar to scratch or even text, depending on age. They will learn to code their own games and to code robots to execute tasks.
19/11 – I’m a gamer!
In this session we use Minecraft Education to teach learners how to use keyboard and mouse. We have touch screen interface available for younger learners. They learn how to navigate the Minecraft world, build sky castles, spawn a variety of animals to live in their castles and network with one another in the virtual world, teaching them online safety and how to work with others.
26/11 – I’m a YouTuber!
In this session, we introduce the children to the amazing world of stop motion animation. They create models, use chromokey, create their films and watch them on YouTube!
