Healthy Message: Bananas count towards your 5 a day. They are a good source carbohydrate which provides us with lots of energy to keep us
going throughout the day. Dairy products such as Greek yoghurt and cream cheese are rich in vitamin D and calcium. These nutrients are important for the growth and maintenance of strong bones, teeth and muscles. Can you think of a different fruit we could use to change the flavour of this recipe?
Do you struggle to fit in cooking with your child whilst juggling all the other demands of being a parent? We help children and young people to develop a valuable life skill by running fun cookery classes so that even fussy eaters grow up to be confident happy cooks with a wholesome appreciation of food. Our classes are delivered in person and online by professional, enthusiastic teachers who are passionate about educating children in cookery skills.
Children will develop confidence in the kitchen, learn new skills and we will help to widen your child’s food choices and develop a healthy fun and inquisitive relationship with food that gives them a platform to build on for life. Oh and the best bit is they get to share their delicious recipes with you!
Here’s what one of our students has to say:

Little chef tips: You can use green or black lentils if you do not find Puy lentils. It will be tasty too. “Each time, I cook some lentils, I always think about the traditional French dish from Toulouse, my city: Saucisse-lentille”
In six years of running Kids En Cuisine, my chefs and I have taught classes in homes and in some of the top private schools in London. We have partnerships with Planet Organic, As Nature Intended and Whole Food Market, and an online boutique selling cooking kits and kitchen utensils. I am also the author of ‘Cook with Flo’, a children’s cookbook which is being sold around the world.
Kids En Cuisine offers cooking classes focused on fruits and vegetables, natural and organic ingredients, aromatic herbs and spices. Depending on the ages of the children, we make the classes educational and fun by listening to music, dancing, joking and giving tips to help them to peel, cut and get confident in the kitchen. The classes will allow your children to use various cooking utensils and help them to develop their fine motor skills. They will try new flavours and textures, and learn through entertainment while becoming confident and creative cooks.
Cooking with kids…I appreciate that some of you may run in the other direction, but we promise to make your life easier. We believe that it is so important for children to have the opportunity to learn how to cook and develop independence in the kitchen.
Not only do children learn the different techniques needed for different recipes, but it develops their literacy skills; learning how to read and follow the stages of the recipe but their numeracy skills as well; learning how to weigh out the ingredients and knowing if they need to add more or less to the scales. It teaches children to use their senses; does it taste nice? how does it smell? What does that ingredient feel like? Exploring different textures and foods is important to children of all ages.
At Three Bears we are super passionate about cooking with children, we develop our recipes specifically for children, so older children can learn to follow the recipe themselves and younger children can follow the recipe with support and guidance from either ourselves or their parents. Check out our website for our top tips for cooking with children, recipes and our cookery classes, we have something for all ages and abilities; www.threebearscookeryclub.com
We are excited to share one of our favourite recipes for you to try out at home with your child. Our Cheeky Curry Bites recipe is suitable for children of all ages and older children should be able to follow this themselves. It is a great recipe to encourage new tastes and textures for your kids to try and always goes down well in our clubs.
