There may even be some treats along the route… Then it’s back to the Hare & Hounds to hand in answers and claim a great goody bag prize! THERE WILL ALSO BE PRIZES FOR THE BEST COSTUMES – FOR ADULTS & KIDS – AND SOME SECRET WITCHES’ BREW, TOO! Entry is available by pre-paid ticket only.

Starting on 21st October a week-long town centre trick or treat trail will give young half term visitors the chance to hunt the area for spooky painted skulls.
Spotting ten, hidden in the window displays of twenty-five shops, will win them a Halloween treat, with full details and a map available from the customer service desk at The Glades. That’s not all half term has to offer as face painting takes place in The Glades throughout the week on the upper level opposite Cath Kidson and fabulous face painting!
As Halloween approaches a Day of the Dead celebration will come to Market Square, with youngsters invited to book a slot for pumpkin painting, sugar skull face painting or watching professional pumpkin carving during the day before taking spooky selfies. Food and drink will be provided by Benito’s Hat with a selection of tacos, churros, margaritas and Mexican beers on offer throughout the day and night.
The space will transform as darkness sets in, with older visitors invited to a Mexican Day of the Dead celebration where entertainment will include a Mariachi Band, human tables and face painting for grown-ups and much more.
