World Book Day with Little City

Little City World Book Day OfferAcross the whole Little City team we’ll be running special events and sessions on and around World Book Day 2020 – we’ll be joined by local story tellers, booksellers, cake makers and more at each of our branches. Each Little City session will encourage dressing up, a book swap and all our fabulous role play fun!

Little City is perfect for the under 5’s who love to role play and what better way to encourage learning and books than through play? Your little one can be a vet, doctor, hairdresser, builder and more all in one morning – and all whilst dressed as their favourite superhero if they wish.

All our events are listed across our individual team members – details of those can be found at

World Book Day with Jigsaw Performing Arts

The session is free entry for children and grown ups of all ages. Activities will be aimed at pre-school age through to KS1 but there will be plenty of things for older children to get involved with too! Everyone is welcome.

Free hot and cold drinks will be provided for all attendees.

There will be a donation pot to raise money for our resources but this is entirely voluntary – our aim is to ensure our events are free for everyone to ensure that every child can share our love of stories!

Beaming Babies

Beaming BabiesFor World Book Day we will be celebrating with our “Dogs Don’t Do Ballet Class” as part of our term at Beaming Babies. This feel good book is about a little dog with a big personality and even bigger dreams. The story will be brought to life with music, movements and props and we will remind all our babies and their families to never give up on their dreams, you never know when they could come true! Please visit the website to book your space on our term!

World Book Day with Lingotot

Lingotot World Book Day OfferWorld Book Day is one of the biggest celebration events in the educational calendar. Why not share some stories with your children in a foreign language? It is WORLD Book Day afterall! We can make it easier than you might think!

In our community classes, as always our youngest Lingotots will be enjoying story telling in a new language…some are even coming to class in costume, including children at Harriet’s classes in West Hove.

We’re also doing an awful lot in schools and nuseries up and down the country. Annfield Plain Junior School are having a French day all about The Hungry Caterpillar and we’re REALLY looking forward to meeting all of the children! We would love to come into school to lead a free MFL assembly in your school. Just get in touch to find out more!

Those of you who don’t attend our weekly classes don’t have to miss out…you can watch a range of storytelling videos on our YouTube World Book Day Playlist and you can download our FREE colouring sheets here.

Lingotot wishes you a wonderful day full of lots of multilingual reading fun!
