Robo:Next Robotics – Edgware

Days: 22nd, 23rd and 24th October

Times: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Robo:Next Robotics October Half Term Kids ActivitiesThis Robotics autumn camp is designed to provide Robotics learning to children in age group 8-13. The camp focusses on both physical and software aspects of robotics to provide software programming, science and engineering learning to children.

Robots have always been a exciting piece of technology, programmable to move, speak, listen, light up, and follow instructions as directed. There is nothing quite as fun — and educational — as building one’s own robot and setting it through the paces of a race, an activity or a challenge.

Robotics as a discipline covers all of the subjects of STEM, so it’s a well-rounded approach to education. It is a fun way to bring STEM to life, and that’s important because STEM is the key to a successful future for students.

Smartkidz Play – Cambridgeshire – October Half Term kids activities

Smartkidz Play October Half Term Kids ActivitiesThis October half term why not book a session at Smartkidz Play and Learn for a week packed with exciting activities and free play opportunities. There are lots of hands on Halloween themed treats as well as indoor and outdoor spaces that can be explored at leisure.

We allow children make their own selection of activities and never require them take part in anything. Instead we have large spaces where children can build, explore, climb or just sit and chat with friends. Our staff are all trained playworkers and will observe or support play when necessary.

All our locations are places where children can be themselves and let their imaginations take over. For the best in creative crafty challenges and forest based fun Smartkidz has is the holiday club you need.

Learn to fire a crossbow, make a felt witch’s house, create your own apple monster or just spend time in one of our amazing play spaces.

Put on your scariest face with Halloween face-painting, create a scary spider or creepy crawly decoration, try jellybean roulette then come to our Halloween disco.

During a visit from Mark at Creativity, the zombie apocalypse strikes. Practice your survival and problem-solving skills in a series of deadly crafts and games.

Make Dracula’s false teeth cookies, ghost biscuits, cup cake decorating and cobweb candy floss. Make your own Halloween outfit before listening to some ‘not so spooky’ stories around the magic,
colour changing fire.

On a day of classic Halloween fun, you can make a rock monster, carve a pumpkin or pepper, make some delicious pumpkin soup and then relax in the Halloween cinema club.
