Onwards and Upwards for Sticky Fingers Cookery Parties

Published on 5th March 2017 by Tessa Robinson

Sticky Fingers Cookery Parties are thrilled that we have just appointed our second Party Director! Sangeeta is hosting parties in Notts, Derbys and Leics and has also started pre-school cookery clubs and holiday clubs, such as our Easter Bake-off.

“What a fabulous party! All the children were kept fully entertained the whole time, they were fully engaged and produced some excellent cakes to take home. As a parent it was totally stress free as Sangeeta took care of everything. I would highly Sticky Fingers Cookery Partiesrecommend Sticky Fingers.”

We have also recently been awarded bronze accreditation of the Children’s Activities Association, giving parents peace of mind when booking a children’s party.

I am looking for more Party Directors to join me, covering different geographic areas in the Midlands and invite those interested in cooking with children to contact me. There is a start-up kit and operations manual to purchase, and full training and on-going guidance is given to host the parties. Email: [email protected] for more information.

About Sticky Fingers Cookery Parties

Make memories to treasure with a cookery party

The Sticky Fingers Cookery Parties format has been a great success since it launched in 2008.  Initially I held parties in my Deli-café, but it was soon apparent that a different business model was needed to take the business to the next level.

My background is in teaching, food safety and cookery, so I was well-equipped to develop an exciting two hour party package which could be taken into clients’ homes or local village halls for larger numbers of children.  This fun party is also educational and can be adjusted for different ages and groups of all abilities.

I also devised holiday workshops to keep the children entertained with what can become a growing passion for young people.  Baked goods and savoury dishes can be cooked and taken home for the family to try and the sessions often include games and craft activities.

As the demand for parties grew, so did the need for recruiting additional people to host the parties and in 2016 I was joined by my first franchisee, Anne who is based in Nottingham.   She has been instrumental in helping me fine-tune our parties and workshops.  We all have DBS certification, qualifications in food safety and public liability insurance.

In an age of ready meals, I like to think that I am contributing towards teaching the next generation the basics of cooking and baking so it doesn’t become a forgotten skill.
