Tot Bop dance class – Groovy Movers – Saturdays in Leighton Buzzard (am)

Activity Description

The Groovy Movers (age 5-9; school years 1-4) class introduces dance to children in a fun, funky & imaginative way, while also teaching them basic dance technique. Movements, positions and steps are introduced throughout, to increase the children’s dance vocabulary, challenge and develop their co-ordination and enhance musical and rhythmical awareness. Rhythmical awareness is enhanced through the music section of the class, where a particular dance/music style is focused on (eg. Rock n roll, salsa, hip hop etc.). Children learn an imaginative choreographed routine which develops over a number of weeks. They strut their stuff in the Tot Bop Boogie, helping to enhance self awareness and self confidence. Confidence sores as their skills develop! They finish with our sensory cool down with scarfs and bubbles.
