Musical Bumps, provider of high quality music classes for babies, toddlers and nurseries.
Classes are delivered by Anna Thomas, music graduate and teacher.
From new-born babies to pre-school children, we provide educational fun, suited to each stage of a child’s development. Each class uses songs, engaging puppets, props and instruments to teach children essential musical skills through singing and play. Our classes also teach non-musical skills such as listening, copying and turn taking; all important for their speech and language and social development. Musical Bumps is much more than just a music class! The experts agree: studies have shown that children who attend music classes from an early age are more confident, have greater language skills and are flexible, adaptable learners by the time they reach school.
3+ classes are smaller and slightly shorter, and parents and carers are not actively involved in the class. A typical class develops specific musical skills and concepts including opportunities for dancing, solo singing and playing percussion. Some basic music notation is also introduced through these games. Classes lay a solid foundation for future instrumental lessons, and help to prepare children for their school days to come.
At this stage, many children are happy to come into the class without their parent or carer. However, adults are welcome to remain in the room although they don’t participate.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
