About this Event
There is no better way to learn than through play. Coding is essential in today’s world, so give your kids a headstart by joining this one week course to learn the basics of Python.
One session takes place daily Monday – Friday, 10am-11am on:
Monday 5th April
Tuesday 6th April
Wednesday 7th April
Thursday 8th April
Friday 9th April
Children will need to be able to attend all five sessions. The course price is for the 5 sessions, and you cannot book individual sessions.
Participants will get an introduction to coding in Python, in the framework of playing Minecraft in this course of 5 one hour session in the Easter Holidays.
In this course, participants will see what effect their programming has on the environment in Minecraft. They will use Python to:
Create a Parkour Selector
Build massive blocks
Whack a Block to control events
Build a house, a street, a rainbow street with code
Creates a Pixel Art display
Teleporting – put it all together to build world with code
As the course is progressive children will need to be able to attend all five sessions.
It is essential that participants have access to a laptop or desktop computer, Python (this is a free download) and a copy of the Java edition of Minecraft installed on the machine.
