Activity Description

LullaBaby offers a wide variety of activities, from sensory play to baby yoga and is linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (the curriculum for birth to five years). These activities have been specifically designed and chosen to expose your baby to experiences that will build connections in the brain and promote their early development, including:

Step 1 Baby Foundation Course 0 – around 5 months
Step 2 Baby Development Course 2 months -walking/around 11 months
Step 3 Baby Development Course walking – 2.5 years

LullaBaby Step 2 and step 3 are weekly themed baby/toddler classes which are linked to the EYFS (the curriculum for birth to 5 year olds). They are carefully designed to stimulate, delight and promote your baby’s development. Every week is different as you and your little one will go down in the jungle, explore the secret garden, zoom into outer space, enjoy all the fun of the circus and so much more, as you bond and make precious memories together.

What does the class involve?
We provide activities and ideas which offer a unique mixture of stimulation and relaxation, including:

Baby Sensory and Exploratory Play – with a balance of adult led and child initiated activities, based around a different theme each week, meaning no two weeks are the same. Obviously, as your little one grows so will their independence and this will become a more child led activity.

Baby Yoga – To relax and strengthen your baby, supporting their physical development. These are accompanied by familiar songs and rhymes.

Music and Rhymes – To develop early language and speech skills. Additionally, there is on occasion live music played/sung in some sessions.

Baby Signing – based on the Makaton signing system to help you and your baby communicate from birth. We sign each week to our original and unique “Hello Everyone” and “Wave Goodbye” songs. We also learn signs where appropriate that are linked to the weekly theme.

Relaxation time – to help your baby unwind and take in all that they have learnt. Towards the end of each session we use calming baby sensory lighting and sounds, promoting periods of deeper sleep and helping baby feel secure, attached and bonded to the caregiver.

Social Time
Building a network of friends who have little ones a similar age is an incredibly supportive and rewarding experience. At Lullababy, we recognise the need to talk, support and make friendships as you embark upon this new chapter in your life and social time is built into our sessions. We also have a private Facebook group for our LullaBaby caregivers to join and connect outside of sessions as well as occasional casual social events and meet ups.
