10 Feb – 18 Feb 2018
This February half-term, kids will be able to truly step into the role of a vet at ZSL London Zoo, during a week of interactive family events celebrating the incredible work of the Zoo’s vet team.
We’re inviting children to become Zoo vets this February half-term at our Animal Hospital, an award-winning role-playing experience for budding veterinarians.
After arriving for work at the hospital’s reception, junior vets will be prepped with hairnets and masks before joining the team in the Zoo’s specially recreated interactive vet centre.
Becoming part of the action, children will help experts examine, x-ray and carry out treatments on toys – experiencing first-hand the huge variety of work carried out by the Zoo’s vets, vet nurses and zookeepers on a daily basis.
After the masks come off, a packed schedule of talks and activities throughout the week will take families further inside the exciting world of the Zoo’s animals and the people who look after them – explaining everything the ZSL team does to keep 18,000 residents in tip-top condition, from microchipping penguins to checking tiger teeth.
Animal Hospital and all extra activities are included in the entry price and there’s no need to book a slot in advance, simply turn up on the day.
Book online and take advantage of the Weather Buster Flexi Ticket, which gives you a 10% discount and allows you to use your purchased tickets to visit on any date before 29 March 2018.
Vets in Action will take place daily in the Activities Den opposite our B.U.G.S exhibit between Saturday 10th February – Sunday 18th February 2018. It’s recommended for children aged 5 – 10 years old.
