Dad La Soul is a revolutionary, grassroots movement that uses arts, tech, and music to battle the social isolation or loneliness in dads.
Dads need something of their own to make friends, talk honestly and let off steam with their kids in a safe space. – This is what we do.
After a year off, we are back with a BANG!!
We have teamed up with our bezzies, community art company Creative Waves to have some fun in the wonderful new BugCycle Community Garden in Beach House Park, Worthing,
There is lots to explore and play with, including a community vegetable patch and educational wildlife trails.
We have invited some special guests including Professor Glyn Edwards from the World famous Brighton Punch & Judy company – He is ready and will incredibly engaging and educational session on puppeteering, the history and the future.
That’s The Way To Do It!
The wonderful Creative Waves team has said we are allowed to brighten up the tarmac, so we will be inviting some cool street-artist type dads along to show us a thing or two with chalk.
If that wasn’t enough, we’ll have some old-school tunes, games, and general dad-related daftness. Bring your favourite toys and games and join the party, perfect for developing friendships, trust, teamwork, confidence and essential life skills.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING? Snacks & Water. Sturdy Shoes (no flip flops and wellies encouraged in autumn & winter for outdoor sessions). Season Appropriate Clothing – Waterproofs, Warm Clothes, Hats & Gloves or Sun Cream & Sun Hat for Summer. A sense of adventure!
It’s a safe space for dads and kids to let off steam, have some banter and ask for help.
Suitable for children aged 0-10.
