Activity Description

Code Ninjas Epsom provides coding instruction for kids from 5 to 15. Juniors aged 5 to 7 learn how to think computationally by playing and making. We also develop the Junior’s co-ordination skills and how to work with technology. The dojo has been set up by a industry recognised video game product manager who also happens to be a PGCE qualified teacher. The Code Sensei who work with the ninjas include videogame technology graduates.

The Create program is for kids from 7 and uses a belt based curriculum from White belt to Black belt. It starts with the basics and ends with the kids creating their own in a professional development platform called Unity. To turn the kids into game developers we use physical coding blocks, Scratch Jr, Scratch, Minecraft, Roblox, Code Spark Academy, Code Combat, Java Script, C#, Lua and Unity. We also run camps during school holidays that introduce other aspects of coding such as YouTube, Minecraft mods, Microcontroller programming and Robotics.

The Junior programme runs using a monthly subscription of £105 and provides one hour in the dojo per week (50 sessions per year). The Create programme runs at £141 per month and provides two hours in the dojo per week (100 sessions per year). We are open all year round apart from two weeks at Christmas time. All new ninjas pay a one-off registration fee of £50.
