Times: 4pm - 5.15pm
Welcome to CircusMASH. We exist to inspire people, create togetherness and give everyone the tools to be anything that they want to be. Creativity gives us freedom, Circus gives us capability and community keeps us strong. Together they give us the skills to achieve the impossible.
We are so thrilled that you have decided to come along into our world. We are passionate about passing on our skills and offer a welcoming, friendly environment to challenge yourself safely and show yourself you can. We offer recreational, skill development and performance training wth a focus around building physical and mental strength… we all could do with a bit of that from time to time. We also offer funded programmes of training for youth that want to work towards a career in the beautiful field of circus.
What to wear…
Tight fitting clothing that covers knees, armpits and middle. Joggers/TShirt/All in one’s/Gym wear perfect. Please NO zips or stick out sequins. It rips our equipment. Training shoes. The equipment hurts when you first start so the more you layer up, the easier your body will take to it.
What to bring…
A bottle of water or a packed lunch if you are on the Sunday CirqueStars course.
Parents in the space…
We find youth work harder without their parents around, especially with some of the scary things that we ask them to do. We like to help them understand fear, and why our brain sometimes makes us not want to try things. With parents around their safety net makes them run away from what they might be scared of. You know your children better than us, if you are worried, you are absolutely welcome to stay but we ask that you allow them to settle so you feel comfortable that they are ok… and then allow us to help them understand how to overcome every fear that they will ever have. We have a space access policy in place in all youth sessions. The door will now have a code lock on and the space will be locked during youth class times. There will be a window of 10 minutes either side of the start and finish of each class in which the door will be opened. These times will be posted on the inside and outside of entrance. Late comers will be admitted into the space but please knock the door. Parents will not be admitted back into the space until 10 minutes before the end of their Childs class.
Your first session
Please ensure you come a little early if it is your first class so you can fill out our Youth Registration form.
Our Youth Team
We have a fantastic youth team, who are all passionate about the development of circus arts in education. Please make sure you stick around long enough to meet us all at the start of term!
If you ever have any questions or concerns that you want to raise please email [email protected] There is also a feedback section on our youth portal.
Can’t wait to see you in class. As soon as the kids are hooked… it won’t be long until you want to give it a try yourself parents! … Don’t think we’re joking either
Our level one development class introduce students to four different types of discipline. Aerial, balance, hand-eye coordination & acro. Level one is intended to build a strong foundation and technique, which is needed at our higher level classes. All students must complete level one before moving onto higher levels (if your child has experience elsewhere, please get in touch and we’ll get them into an appropriate class). Throughout the term your children will be assessed and at the end of term we will update you on your child’s progress and level by email
