B.O.S.S. (Be On Stage & Screen) Acting School is a new cutting-edge drama school offering classical actor training with a fresh and innovative twist! We teach children of all ages the skill of performance on stage AND screen. Our little actors train in all performance skills, merging the highest professional level tuition with an exciting and dynamic experience. At B.O.S.S. we put Self-Expression in the spotlight! We build children’s confidence and help them find their voice. We want them to know they are worthy of anything they set their heart on!
SHOWBIES (ages 3-5) £39.50 PCM
Our main class focus is for our little SHOWBIES to have a truly unforgettable experience! We want them laughing, expressing themselves, being active, dancing to music and exploring their creativity! We want them to be excited to come back each week, make new friends and have fun! Our classes are carefully structured to coincide with the goals of the ‘Early Years Curriculum’. We had to opportunity to team up with an EYFS Practitioner with over 20 years experience to create our detailed lesson plans. Therefore, our classes offer rich learning opportunities to develop a range of skills. With all the fun the children are having, they do not even realise that they are learning! Our B.O.S.S teachers are selected specifically for their warmth, energy and affection. Not only are they all trained performing arts specialists, but they have experience working with children in Early Years. All staff are enhanced DBS checked and have training in first aid and safeguarding.
STAGE & SCREEN (Minis 5-7) (Maxis 7-11) £52.00 PCM
Our Stage and Screen class has a unique structure designed to give children professional training in ALL mediums of the Performing Arts industry. The class has equal focus on performing on stage, singing, dancing and Film & TV. Our Stage & Screen classes are divided into two age groups: ‘MINI’ ages 5-7, ‘MAXI’ ages 7-11 and ‘PROS’ ages 11-16. Each term at B.O.S.S. children are given the opportunity to share their work with their family and friends in a Christmas showcase, Red Carpet movie event and a live cinematic musical. Here they are encouraged to celebrate their work and build their confidence performing in front of an audience. Each term we welcome an industry professional along to do workshops and/or talks with the children. We also offer the chance (although this is not compulsory) to take performance exams throughout the year including LAMDA, TRINITY, RSL and ABRSM.
