Days: Tuesday
Times: 11am-12am
Is your child interested in learning to code? Would you rather they were designing video games rather than playing them? Get to grips with the basics of coding with our after school online coding course specifically designed for children aged 7-12.
Our next club will run on a Tuesday from 11am-12pm starting on the 2nd March 2021.
All sessions will be run online via Zoom so are suitable for children across the UK. Coding sessions will last for one hour per week and children will be working with the BBC Micro:bit and blockly coding. Children will be able to share their coding creations with one another and a scientist will be on hand to help with any tricky coding bugs!
This code club is designed for children with limited/no coding experience and is suitable for children aged 7-12. You will need a computer (mac or pc) with internet access and a USB port. A webcam is desirable but not essential and there is no requirement for your child to be on camera.
This course includes one BBC Micro:Bit and essential components (batteries, battery pack and USB cable) sent to you in the post before the course starts. If you already have Micro:bit and would like to sign up to the course please email us at [email protected] and we can offer you a reduced price option.
Prices
The price for a block of four sessions is £39 per screen including the codeable computer which your children can keep forever (Micro:bit generation 1). Siblings are welcome to share a screen and work on the activities together. If you miss a session we will send you video and written instructions instead so you never miss out. We are also on hand for help and support between sessions too.
This club will be strictly limited to 12 screens/15 participants so that every child gets the most out of the club.
